Our program is made up of citizen volunteers, from all walks of life.  They receive extensive training on first aid/CPR, as well as law enforcement patrol techniques and vehicle operation.  We conduct high profile patrols countywide as well as participate in yearly special events and aid when natural disasters hit our community.  Sheriff Carpenter refers to our group as "force multipliers," responding to assist local law enforcement agencies to augment their personnel needs.

We started the Geocache game with only one goal in mind. To have fun!  We thought it would be cool to engage with the citizens of Iron County and put on an occasional scavenger hunt.  We don't want the followers of our page to take this too seriously.  We will never place the cache anyplace dangerous so if you think the clues are leading you into danger, you are headed in the wrong direction!  We also want to share the fun with all the members of our community so we have limited your ability to win to once every three months.  When you find the cache, there will be a card inside explaining how to claim your prize.  YOU MUST return the cache container and card to claim your prize.  If you don't return our container, well, you're no daisy!  (Come on!  That is a great line!).  Don't make us go all DH on you!
